AMD passed $1tn as SpaceXAI finally shipped Grok 4.7
AMD became the fourth American chipmaker worth more than $1tn on Monday as the Philadelphia semiconductor index rose 4.3 per cent and the Nasdaq took its first record close since June, and SpaceXAI put Grok 4.7 live at $2 and $6 per million tokens after missing its 12 September target.

Meta’s Muse assistant topped Apple’s free app chart Meta shares rose more than 11 per cent on Monday after its Muse AI assistant became the most downloaded free app on Apple’s US store. Bloomberg tied the day’s chip rally partly to the same news, with Meta among AMD’s larger customers. Source
SoftBank is selling $11bn of junk bonds to pay for OpenAI Reuters, working from a term sheet, reported a sale of $10bn of dollar notes across three maturities plus €1bn across two, funding SoftBank’s $10bn share of the third tranche of its OpenAI investment — which closes on 1 October — and cancelling a $10bn bridge loan raised for the same purpose. Fitch rated the notes BB+, its highest speculative grade, and the bonds are due to price on 24 September. Source
